Dear Applicant,

Detailed Job Description : PERSONAL ASSISTANT POSITION

I received your resume in response to the ad for Personal Accounting Assistant, I will deeply appreciate all genuine efforts to help me monitor and keep up to date with all my activities. I have had a previous PA who has been very commendable in her activities and who has been part of my life for the past 6 months, she has since returned to her country. I sincerely hope I will be able to find someone again who will be as efficient as she has been. I’m Anthony , 60 originally from Germany, but I have spent a whole lot here in United States. I’m a business man and Interior Designer by profession,I have been pretty successful in a handful of ventures I get involved in from the Angel Investment Network in Canada and United States to various welfare and community service programs, I most very often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities.

As my assistant, your activities amongst other things will include;
* Running personal errands, supervisions and monitoring.
* Scheduling programmes, flights and keeping me up to date with them.
* Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence when I’m away.
* Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.
* Handling and monitoring some of my financial activities.
* Basic wage is $550 weekly
* This job will take you few hours in a day and it just 2 days in a week
* Its a Full-Time / Part -Time Job with no stress

This position is home-based and flexible, working with me is basically about instructions and following them, my only fear is I may come at you impromptu sometimes, so I need someone who can be able to meet up with my irregular timings. There is also a very sensitive issue on trust and accountability which I believe will resolve itself as time goes on.. This is only an introductory e-mail, as time goes on we should be able to arrange a proper meeting to get things started officially. I’m currently in the Queensland Australia now on a business trip and summit, however, I do have a number of things you could help me with this week if you will be available for me. This can act as a stable foundation to our working relationship.

One from a Alex Warren & another from a John Wallace; both almost identical..

The one from Alex Warren had the Calvery Child Care Center & all the info like the the lady above posted. Also I asked him where he lived he told me Harrford CT!

The one from John Wallace he didn’t state where he lived.

So this is really a scam? It’s a shame cuz they offer good money.. What’s the scam tho? Can they do anything with my name address & phone? Cuz I sent them my resume thru craigslist?

It’s sad I’ve received the same type of scam email 4 times already, all involving donating money for foster children. Basically anyone willing to send you a check without ever meeting you is a scam. Too bad there are more scams than real jobs on the internet

  6. well it looks like i am currently was about to get scammed by one of this people, and supposedly i will receive a check of $2988.00 tomorrow. and i have been told to deposit the check in my account and than contacting them, because they will supposedly give me a list of things i have to buy and than send them to some place.
i was just wondering, what if i just cash the check or something like that, and than keep the money, and if i ever get contacted by the bank, thank i will just return the money,
since i have heard that scams like this, usually ask you to deposit or cash the check, make you waste the money, and than few weeks later the bank contacts you, telling you that the check was some kind of scam and that they want you to return the money, and if that ever happens than i will just return the money, since i won’t be spending it, just saving it, until the day to return it comes here.
do you guys think that would be the right thing to do? in order to get some pay back on those people that scam other people.?

But what can we do to stop this? Will it help to notify the police? Better Business Bureau? FBI (after all he states he is in Greece now) Anyone? Any information that you can provide me would be great. Thank you very much for your help.

  9. Just want to say “Thanks” for providing online job leads for those of us who don’t wish to pay to work, but want to keep it traditional. I’ve been looking for these types of jobs for months with nothing like the results you garner. Amazing, as always.

  10. Glad to see you exposing these SCAM JOB OFFERS! I’ve reported several Careerbuilders advertised on AOL / YAHOO HOT JOBS / Monster Job offers that were SCAMS back to each one of them plus to consumer agencies. CB-AOL / YAHOO/ MONSTER don’t really care about any SCAMS they post or contact people using them for Job searches as long as these SCAMMERS pay them that’s all their concerend about.
