I’m always excited to take a look through a new program. Even more so when that program is developed by someone I know and trust. This past week I’ve been reviewing the training offered at Michael Brown Success System and evaluating the claims being made. How does it measure up? Is it worth joining? Is this something you can follow to make money online?

Well, my friend, keep on reading.

A Michael Brown Success System Review — Is it a scam?

Michael Brown Success System is an introductory training program for beginners to learn how to make money online through newsletters and email marketing. It was created by Michael Brown, a long-time friend to I’ve Tried That. I’ve reviewed another one of his programs called Niche Blitzkrieg and Michael has held online training webinars specifically for our readers. He’s a stand-up guy with a solid reputation.

Well, Michael is back with a new program that focuses heavily on email marketing. The new program aims to arm you with the training, tools, and support to get started in email marketing as easily and as quickly as possible.

Want more money?
This video will show you the simplest and fastest way to make money online today. Watch it for free right now.

You can sign up for the program for 7 days for only $1.00. Yes, you read that right. Seven days. One dollar. After your 7 day trial ends, you will be billed $47 per month for each month that you remain a member. You can cancel at any time and your membership does come with a 60 day refund guarantee. I know $47 per month may be costly to some people, but keep reading and you’ll see everything that’s included and why $47 per month isn’t as expensive as it seems. Michael did provide me with a free membership to the program. I’ve been looking through the program for the past week now and evaluating the training and tools offered.

The course is broken down into 4 weeks. Each week comes with a number of video lessons for you to follow and a task list for you to complete. As you watch the training, you’ll be following along with your own ideas and creating a website and a newsletter with the tools and services provided. Even if you’re an absolute beginner, you’ll have a website and an email list setup in no time. The training is very easy to follow.

Here’s a quick overview of each week & what you’ll accomplish after you’ve completed that week.

  • Week 1: Research & Mindset – This week kicks off the training by teaching you about the mindset of online consumers and how you can find a niche online and products to sell to people interested in that niche. Finding a niche can be challenging for anyone. Michael does a great job of breaking down the process though.
  • Week 2: Build Your Site – No surprises here. This week is all about creating your website and squeeze page. There are tools provided that will help you quickly get setup. It is as easy as clicking and typing. The training videos are a huge help here.
  • Week 3: Writing a Few Emails – Here comes the email marketing section. You’ll learn how to setup your newsletter, and write emails that attract customers. The beauty of email marketing is that you only have to write the email once and it gets sent out to thousands of people. The initial work may be challenging, but once your system is in place, you can have someone that’s earning you money for years to come.
  • Week 4: Getting Traffic – All of this is useless without the actual customer. Week 4 is all about establishing your presence on the web and building ways of getting traffic to your website and ultimately getting people to sign up for the newsletter you’ve created.

But the age-old question: does it work?

Michael is teaching concepts that successful Internet Marketers use on a daily basis, myself included. I know his training works because it’s what I do every single day. Email marketing is one of the reasons why I was able to become a full-time Internet Marketer and Michael Brown has created an easy to follow, step-by-step system that will help you get started.

What I Liked

It Costs $1.00 to Get Started

True to Michael Brown form, you can try out his entire system for next to nothing for 7 days. He wants to make sure this program is a good fit for you before you have to commit to a full membership. You get access to all of the training videos, tools, and support during your trial period.

Canceling your membership is very easy. All you need to do is login to your account, visit the support page, and put in a cancelation request. There are no hoops to jump through, no pushy salesman urging you to stay, and certainly no contracts or obligations from you. All memberships do come with a 60-day refund guarantee. Even if you decide to stay past the trial and later decide the program is not for you, you can submit a refund request as well.

$40/month Newsletter Serviced INCLUDED with Membership!

There are a number of tools that come with a membership, but the one that deserves its own mention here is the autoresponder/newsletter service. Most successful Internet Marketers run newsletters to stay in contact with their readers. Hell, odds are you’re reading this review after coming from the I’ve Tried That newsletter. The thing is, newsletter services can be pretty expensive.

On its own, a newsletter service for 1,000 subscribers would typically cost between $30-$40 each month; however, Michael Brown includes a newsletter service WITH YOUR MEMBERSHIP! This is a feature I haven’t yet seen anywhere else online. The cost of the newsletter program nearly makes up for the cost of a membership on its own. This makes Michael Brown Support System very cost effective, especially for beginners.

Easy Access to Support

There are two main ways to get help: the helpdesk and the forum. Both are very easy to access and response times are very quick. Both systems allow you to get in contact with the support staff. The helpdesk is nice because you can ask questions directly to the staff in private. The forum is great too because you can get quick help from other members as well. If another user is online, he or she can offer to answer your questions and provide feedback.

Included with technical support are “Site & Email Critiques.” You can have your worked looked over by the staff and they’ll make expert recommendations on what needs to be changed, added, or removed. They’ll help you stay on the right path.

What I Didn’t Like

Lack of Text-Based Training

The course relies heavily on video training. This is great if you’re a highly visual learner, but I feel I work better when I can move through material at my own pace. Michael does a good job at breaking down concepts and explaining them, but I still found myself rewatching parts of a video over to make sure I understood what was happening.

At the bottom of each video, there is an accompanying excerpt section, task list, and links to places mentioned in the video. I took a screen shot of one of the introduction videos to give you guys a peek behind the scenes…

The image was shrunk to fit in this article

It’s hard to read since I had to make the image smaller, but you can see an example of the text that follows the video. There’s not much there. Design wise, I would like to see each video have it’s own page with an article that would help explain the concepts explained in the video a little better. It would make the course feel more expansive and it would provide an easier viewing experience.

“Coming Soon”

I may be nitpicking at this point. The course itself is completely finished, but there are numerous mentions of new features that will be added in the near future. This is good because it shows Michael is going to continually add-on to the course, make adjustments, and provide new tools for his readers.

However, this is in the “Didn’t Like” section, because there are mentions to upcoming features here and there and it gives the impression that the system isn’t yet finished even though it is already complete. Whew. That’s confusing, but does that make sense? I’d much rather prefer new features be announced when they’re good and ready instead of having to wait and look at “Coming Soon” filler text. Again, I’m nitpicking.

The Bottom Line

Michael Brown Success System is a great training program for beginners looking to break into Email & Internet Marketing. When you factor everything in that’s included, it’s an absolute steal at $47/month. It also comes with a 60-day refund guarantee and a 7 day $1.00 trial offer. If you aren’t happy with it, you can request a refund at any time in the first 60 days.

Making money online has never been easier...
And this free video will show you exactly everything you need to do to get started. Click here to watch it now.

Michael Brown is one of the few Internet Marketers I know and trust. His goal has always been to help others get their start online by following the methods that he himself uses. The training is top-notch and the support staff is excellent. It is a relatively new program so there may be a few kinks in the system here and there, but they’ll be quickly sorted out.

Overall, Michael Brown Success System is 100% NOT a scam. I do recommend it for beginners who are interested in learning how to make money online through email marketing.

I too am curious as to why there are 2 different sites. one is a reoccurring monthly and the other a one time fee. why are there 2 separate sites and what is the difference between the two?

I read your review and also visited Michael’s Success System program. One of the differences beween this and NBK is the cost, One time cost and the other a
    monthly memership.

I know it’s all relative an up to the individual. but the new Success System seems
to be a beter opportunity to start making money somewhat soone or quicker
along with a more hands on and support approach, if you want to pay the

Steve, I think I will take my chances at Wealth Affiliates. At least at WA I am grandfathered at $39.00. This program costs $47.00 monthly. Great review though. Love being on your list.

Thanks for the review Steve. It seems like a great program for beginners. I have never tried email marketing before.

Great job Michael, and awesome review Steve. I followed Michael on the creation of the course and the material is wonderful for beginners and can greatly benefit even those that are advanced in marketing.

I’m going to go ahead and give my own endorsement on this because it’s worth it.

I started in Niche Blitzkrieg about 2 years ago and since then have built my own niche empire (140 niche websites), Facebook pages, digital business’s, and even started developing my own physical business’s. And I can definitely say that Michael helped me reach that goal.

  • Steve

And now you see why I recommend Michael’s training. He just gets it.

Hey Steve thanks for the review! Always good to see you’re checking things out for your readers.

After some early feedback from other members, Ive Tried That and it’s readers we are working on getting transcriptions of all course videos now :)

We don’t just want this course to be awesome, we want it to be great and give our members EVERYTHING they need to make money online.

I’ll keep you all updated wen we are done with the transcription. All future areas will be transcribed as well. :)

Nicholas: MBSS focuses mainly on email marketing and developing a newsletter. WA doesn’t have a ton of training in this area so it’s hard to compare. I think MBSS would be beneficial to fill in some of the WA gaps.

Harry: The video training isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I agree. I would have liked to see transcripts of the videos.

Thanks for the review Steve. Great work as usual.

I agree with you about video training. I am at warp speed to the delete button whenever I see an offer of “11 easy-to-follow videos.” Give me good old printed text where I can read, reread, yellow highlight, mark with post-it notes, and reread again and again.

So, is there any practical way to get the audio of each video “translated” into
printed text? Might Mr. Brown consider offering that for an additional cost?

    Thanks again! HC

Thanks for reviewing another program for us Steve. As for me, I will still stay at Wealthy Affiliate because it is already working for me.

    Hey Steve,

Looks like a great program. Not sure if it is fair to ask this, but how does it fair up to Wealthy Affiliate? I’m currently a member with their community.

Until I am able to generate some “safe” income, I won’t be able to have duel membership to both. But if you say something is good, it really REALLY makes me want to try it, despite financial costs.
