Quick Summary of AltCoin Trends
Rating: 1 Another cyrptocurrency scam site!
The Good: None.
The Bad: Exaggerated success and earnings claims, lies about lack of risk, falsehoods peppered throughout the site that leads to an untrustworthy broker, and multitasks as a pirate film site!
The Bottom Line: This method of trading is high risk and usually ends up with costing you money rather than making it, and is not the way to build a sustainable online business. If you're looking for a legitimate way to make money online check out my preferred method.
AltCoin Trends Review
The growing number of cryptocurrenices is dizzying; it feels like a new currency or token is being unveiled every day.
How do you keep track of them, let alone figure out which ones are a worthy investment?
It used to be that with any form of investment you’d find a local broker who would help guide you through the investment minefield.
These days you’re more likely to turn to the internet to look for help, and here lies the danger. Not only has the number of cryptocurrencies increased rapidly, but the number of scams out there has increased at an even larger rate!
AltCoin Trends is positioning itself as an advanced and secure way to trade in cryptocurrencies, but this system has a lot to be wary of!
AltCoin Trends by Andrew Frost
The sales page for this system (yes they may not be asking for your cash but it’s still a sales page) is quite slick, with a lot of elements you’d see in a genuine business and few obvious warning signs, but they are there.
The Sales Video
As it typical of this type of video it starts by hooking you in by telling you that you’re going to get access to the “most powerful trading software in the world”.
This is pretty much a boldfaced lie as the software you get access to is just the brokers, and it isn’t anything special.
The earnings claims also start early, suggesting you can make over $3,000 per day every day.
It goes on to tell you random stories about how they have found the missing piece that makes them bucket loads of cash with cryptocurrencies but they don’t tell you exactly what this is or how it works.
It goes on and on spewing random information and lies without actually providing one iota of real information. The video is designed just to get you interested enough to sign up with your email (you’ll then be tagged as someone who is interested and spammed to death) and move you down the sales funnel towards the end goal of you handing over money to the broker.
Not only that but the video states that the software has a 93% accuracy, which is remarkable in standard trading let alone in the high risk, erratic world of cryptocurrency trading. It’s so remarkable that I would call this out as a lie, especially when the next thing they state is that “there are no risks”!
Just for clarity’s sake, here is the current state of the market as I write this article:
Nearly every coin in the top 100 list at CoinMarketCap is showing, on average, a 30% loss today, January 16th. This market is incredibly risky, akin to gambling.
The Earnings Claims
There are numerous earnings claims made through the sales pitch for AltCoin Trends all of them are outrageous and likely fabricated.
For example take the “$3,025 in 24 hours” claim. It has zero backing and zero evidence. It’s merely there to make you greedy and greed distorts rational thinking.
It’s a similar situation for the so called member accounts. First off, who would provide a company with a screenshot of their bank statement and allow them to post it online?
Secondly, these statements look like they have been photoshopped – even if you can’t tell if it’s been modified, it is incredibly easy to modify a website temporarily and screenshot it. It looks no different until you refresh the page.
See how easy and undetectable it is to modify a website and take a screenshot?
Without actual evidence of how this money was made and proof that the money really was made, these claims are worthless.
The Fake Testimonials
Testimonials are a great way to alleviate people’s fears, it’s something called social proof: if others are doing it and not complaining then it must be good.
That’s why it’s sickening to see that AltCoin Trends uses stock photos for their testimonials.
You might be wondering why that is so bad, well by using stock photos it normally means the actual testimonial is also fake: fake name, and fake quote.
There’s nothing here that proves the people in these testimonials or the words written are true, meaning what you see is worthless and most likely a tactic to build trust with you.
The Dodgy Broker
AltCoin Trends eventually pushes you to the broker Greenfields Capital that is paying their bills. The problem is that this is an unregulated broker that suggests it comes out of London, UK, but based on the fact that the Director of the company is a citizen and resident of Bulgaria, the company really comes out of the Bulgaria.
The broker is operated by Premium Peak Ltd a company formed only at the end of August 2017, and registered as a press and marketing agency.
Doing a Google search of this company reveals initial reviews that are not favourable at all, including several one out of five scores and suggestions that the broker is a scam.
A selection of amazing reviews…
Obviously we can’t draw a proper conclusion based on all of this, but it does suggest that this company was hastily thrown up and is perhaps not the best broker out there. You can draw your own conclusions I’m sure.
Another Problematic Issue
OK, so let’s say that you still believe that AltCoin Trends is a genuine site, one that really wants to help you make money rather than scamming you.
Tell me why then the HTTP (none secure) version of the site leads to an illegal movie download site?
Dodgy cryptocurrency scam AND a pirate film site. Talk about multitasking!
That doesn’t seem like the work of reputable and legitimate company right?
The Bottom Line
AltCoin Trends is merely what’s called a lead generator – it’s deigned to funnel you to the brokers website where you will hopefully make a deposit. If you do the people behind AltCoin Trends makes a commission and the broker tries to suck as much money out of you as possible.
There’s no software that will make you insanely rich or amazing team behind AltCoin Trends, it’s just a façade. This sort of scam has been going on for years with Binary Options, and with the rise of BitCoin etc., it has just swapped to cryptocurrencies.
The high risk nature of the trading aside, AltCoin Trends provides nothing but exaggerated claims that it can’t back up and fake information all designed to hook you in.
Avoid this one at all costs.
