Hey, you! “Angela Penbrook!” We’re calling you out. You are deliberately misleading people desperate for legitimate work so you can sell your “rebate processing program.” We’re gonna expose you.
When we said we were going to review the “rebate processing jobs” that have become popular over the last year, one of the first commenters asked if we were going to look at Angela Penbrook’s system at myrebateprocessor.com or processfromhome.com. Or is it “Angel Stevens?” It doesn’t really matter because both “women” and their claims are equally misleading.

[Update March 10, 2009: ABC News’s 20/20 program featured this scam on March 6. Click here to watch the segment.]
We didn’t sign up for her program because it was $197, while other sites are offering the exact same “opportunity” for as little as $29.95. And because we didn’t sign up, this is not a full review. It’s merely my opinion based on experience and based on the claims on “Angela’s” own website.
Read All About “Rebate Processing Jobs”
If you’re new to I’ve Tried That, you’ll want to click over to our full review of rebate processor jobs. We signed up for one of them and tell you all about what they’re really offering.
After you’ve read that original review, this one will make a lot more sense. It’s the same pig, just with different lipstick.
It’s Not a Job. They’re Barely Rebates
What Penbrook is offering you is not a job. You’re not going to get batches of work from Home Depot of Blockbuster or Netflix. It is internet marketing. And to call what you would be doing “rebate processing” is deliberately misleading. Here’s how the program is supposed to work:
- The forms you fill out are used to create Internet advertisements for companies selling products through Clickbank, a large Internet marketing clearing house.
- After you create an ad, you have to get lots of people to see it. You do this by spreading your ads all over the ‘Net. (Psst! That’s called “spam” and is frowned upon in polite societies.)
- When lots of people see it, some will click on it.
- When lots of people click on it, some will purchase whatever your ad is selling.
- Then, and only then, will you get paid.
- The “rebate” is you sending part of your commission back to the buyer.
Lots of Hype, Little Substance
Here’s a clue you can use to spot misleading “job” advertisements every time: look for the sales tactics. Why are sales tactics a clue that you’re about to be taken to the cleaners? Because the scammer led you to believe that you’re learning about a job. But if you read the whole page, do you have a good idea of what you will be doing?
Imagine going to a job interview and your potential boss tells you a sob story about how broke he was, how he finally “made it” and how you can make thousands of dollars a day. Wouldn’t you be suspicious he didn’t tell you what work you would be doing? The same principle applies to Internet “job” advertisements.
Here are the sales tactics Angela Penbrook uses at myrebateprocessor.com. See the looooong page that starts out with emotional hype? See the clock ticking down until your chance to buy expires? Those are designed to sell you something, not to get you to do legitimate work. Do you really think the positions are almost full and that “today might be the last day?” It’s a sales tactic. See the testimonials? See the pictures of riches and happy people? All are designed to push your emotional buttons to get you to click and buy.
The Full Truth About Some of Her Lies
$15 per rebate? If you make a sale from your Internet ads AND the commission is more than $15 AND you decide to send all but $15 back to the purchaser as a “rebate,” then yes, you made $15. I don’t know about you, but that’s a lot of “if.”
Three easy steps? Yes, you can sign up at Clickbank, create ads, and see who has made purchases that are eligible for refunds. I guess those are three steps. But they are NOT easy steps. They’re categories of steps, each one requiring countless hours and clicks. You’ll spend many hours just to get started, let alone the complex steps involved in getting people to see and click on your ads.
The reasons processing rebates is profitable. These reasons are about halfway down her page, after the table showing how much money you can make. They are deliberately written to make you think companies are dieing to “hire” you to work from home processing their rebates. I hope it’s clear by now that nothing could be further from the truth.
If You Don’t Believe Me, How About the Better Business Bureau?
The BBB report has this to say about myrebateprocessor.com:
Complainants allege false advertising, misrepresentation, inability to obtain refunds, and failure to honor their money back guarantee. Some customers complain that instead of receiving an employment opportunity, they received only instructions on internet sales tactics. Other complainants report they are unable to speak with anyone at the company or that company personnel is rude or fails to resolve their concerns. Most complainants allege the company fails to provide any information or instructions on obtaining refunds. All complaints are pending at this time.
And this:
We believe this company’s advertising is deceptive and misleading. They are not directly offering employment. They sell information, not viable work opportunities. In our experience, the only one collecting any money will be this company collecting your $197.00. We know of no work at home offer that has ever generated the amount of income implied or advertised in the offer.
Scrubbing the Ick Off
I could go on, but I’ve spent enough time with Angela Penbrook. I need to go take a shower now. I’m so thoroughly disgusted with her deception, I can’t even tell you. Here at I’ve Tried That, we hear from lots of people who are just trying to make a little extra working from home, and they get taken in by lying pages like this one. They usually spend money they don’t have to sign up for programs they don’t understand. Angela Penbrook knows this and plays your fears to make herself rich.
We’ve written a book that tells you how to find real jobs online and how to spot deceptive advertising like rebate processing sites use.
[Update: April 5, 2008]
This is very revealing. Connie in the comments called “Angela’s” 1-800 number to demand a refund. The rep on the other end of the line took her name and information, put her on hold, and then came back and said her refund was being processed. But Connie never signed up to begin with! “Angela Penbrook’s” operation is probably being run from a kitchen table somewhere with a pencil and paper.
To April Ho. I have not recieved a refund. I haven’t tried yet though. I have been to embarrssed to tell anyone about it and just figured it was a scam and I would probably never recieve it. could I get those numbers? Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up, Charles.
I also believed Angela Penbrook. But, I have yet to recieve any information. When I clicked on the link to recieve more info. it said the website had expired. I feel they are taking advantage of people who are trustworthy and want to try to make a living. Imagine the people who are homebound and can only work from home on their computer! What kind of sick person does this? What can be done to Angela and associates. I’m game on any solution to this scam. I cannot afford to lose 197.00 anywhere or to anyone. I am like anyone else. I work hard for my money and they caught me at a bad time when I was feeling down and needing money.
Lately this scam has taken to Craigslist’s job postings. I “applied” for a postion doing proofreading and editing, and got a reply with a link, that ultimately ended up with Angela’s site. I guess she hasn’t figured out that it’s easy for people to find out if she’s on the up and up with a simple Google search. I’m just thankful that I didn’t end up with a mailbox full of spam. Regardless, I’m not going to use my “real” e-mail with Craigslist anymore – I might not be so lucky next time!
Like many posting here, I too have been bitten by a scam simular to this one. I recommend to anyone looking for online work, PLEASE google the site or name associated with it. If it is a scam, it will most definitely appear in a site like this or one of the sites like ripoffreport. I looked at literally thousands of online jobs like this and they are all scams in one form or another.
Like Stacy here, i’m going through the same thing with these people, i used a debit card to pay for this crap, so i called my bank yesterday, and they told me to call the company again ’cause they have no record of a request for the refund, i called them, and this lady told me that i have to wait another 4-6 business day, cause it’s showing in their system that my refund was processed as of 03/21/08. I’m very frustated right now, but i’m willing to give wait for this week, i’m gonna be out of the county for probably the rest of the month, my gonna have my cousin f/u with them. My bank also informed me to ask for the confirmation# they got from them if the refund was processed, that way they can look for it. I will call them again on Friday if this is not resolve.
I feel the same way Stacy, there’s no way, i’m gonna fall for those BS again, risk money that work hard for. I think these people are trying to hold our money till the 90 days period have passed so they can say it’s too late, but i have all keep all my record, emails, phone calls etc. Gud luck to everyone and don’t stop fighting for your money.
Well, I was also scammed ($197). I have been trying to get my money back since 3/18/08. I have called and called. I finally have an email with transaction id information that I will be sharing with esellerate or my credit card/bank. I just got off the phone with Jenni. She said she is sending me an email (yet another) and said that my refund has been processed and I need to call my bank and give them the transaction id in order to get the money. She claims it is the hold up on the banks end. HOWEVER, if I don’t have my money in 3 days to call back and they can expedite it (found that interesting). I asked if I could just go ahead and have it expedited since I have been waiting since March. Basically, due to some verbal issues I will wait the 3 days. Plus, I went to the site that was listed above and hopefully will help me get my money back as well. Good Luck to everyone out there. After this…I will be no-ones sucker again!!!! I will GOOGLE and then GOOGLE some more and then I think I will wait and check the BBB and then I think I will GOOGLE again. After a month then I will GOOGLE again. I don’t think I ever want to give my CC # over the internet ever again. Not even for Ebay.
i was just about to try angela’s so called get rich quick scheme, when i thought i better google her 1st. i am usually the type of person to jump rght into something, and then regret it later, so i told myself not this time. i just want to say thank you to everyone for exposing this so called women or whoever, or what ever she is.
I too was taken on this rebate scam. This is such a rip off. I have tried on several ocassions to get my refund, no such luck.
I too noticed the bad grammar that was used in the so called instructions. If
Angela Penbrook has all this money ,why is it so hard to get my refund!!!! If anyone has any information on getting my money back please let me know.
Woo-hoo! Thanks for all the details, Joyce. I’m copying your success story to the thread about how to get refunds from scams. You see folks? There is hope.
Hi again to all, Joyce here again with a big smile
because after jumping through many hoops, my credit card company notified me today they are giving me what they call a “conditional refund” of my money. Let me fill you in if it will help others. I sent all the info from the purchase of Angela Penbrook’s program to my credit card co. along with filling out an online dispute of the $197 charge. They emailed me about two weeks later, and asked for a complete and detailed letter about the situation, and also any proof from emails, correspondence, etc. and I was to forward all that to another address, different then the one on their website.
So I typed out a two page letter, along with copies of the email, a copy of the portion of her webpage which shows the 90 day guarantee, explained what the work was supposed to be in detail, etc. I never said “scam”. Kept everything very business like and explained that I could not do this work due to other obligations to my family, and since I have a 90 day guarantee, I should be entitled to my funds back. Mailed it off about 10 days ago, and today got the letter from my credit card company, with another page consisting of 3 questions to answer. 1. Exact date of cancellation of the order. 2. Why was order cancelled?
3. What was the merchant’s response when you attempted to resolve your dispute? (easy one, huh)
Must sign and return within 10 days and they are “continuing to investigate this matter on my behalf”. So,to all out there please stick to your guns with the credit card companies, do whatever they want you to do,and whatever info you send, make sure you sign it, your own handwritten signature makes it legal. I checked my account on line just before coming here and I can tell you that the minus in front of the – 197.00 looks pretty good!!!!! Hopefully nothing will change. Must get the paper in the mail tomorrow with the info that the credit card company wants.
Hope everyone that has written to this webpage gets their reimbursement too. Thanks so much for all the honest hearted people who are out their pulling for everyone else.!!!
My hat is off to Steve and Joe, keep up the good work.
Wow! How lucky I feel to have googled Angela Stevens name. It must have been devine intervention. I was sent an email from Morewolf: Making an income from home. I clicked on one of the links listed their and up came Angela Stevens Rebate Processing Business. It sounded really good and I’m the type to jump on something right away. I filled out the forms and got to the point where your credit card comes in and it wasn’t in my wallet. I had used it the night before. It was at home sitting on my bedside table. I decided to google Angela’s name. I’m sure you know what I found. I was very saddened to find that this was just another scam to ripoff honest people looking for a way of getting out of the day to day rat race and find something to work on their own. I feel bad for everyone who got taken by this. I’ve been taken by some scams in the past myself; The letter-stuffing “make $5000.00 a week”. They failed to mention you’d have to spend big money advertising only to get a response here and there by people who were getting ripped off too. The “Bank Notes processing scam” Oh there’s plenty of bank notes. You may want to find out what type of credentials you need to find them, process them, and sell them. In Utah, its a Federal offense to do either unless you have a license in good standing with the state. And to get that license you have to work for an investment house for years. Don’t get me started. Are there any on-line legitimate businesses that I can work from home that I can make decent money at. I’m not afraid of hard work, I have money that I can invest; not awhole lot but some, and I’m patient. I’m just not very creative so I need a blueprint of something already working.
Thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences both positive and negative. I was just getting ready to place my credit card info on the website when I decided to google Ms. Penbrook. The sad thing is that I had already begun telling others about this wonderful oppurtunity to make money…please continue to pass on the knowledge.
I’m so glad I researched Angela Penbook!!! Sorry for all that have been scammed, I almost fell for it myself.

I was not scammed by this but found the email from Penbrook interesting. I suggest folks file a complaint with the State Attorney’s office of California. If you can figure out an address where court papers can be served to, I would suggest filing a small claims with the county court of where the address is. If you can find the address, you could also approach a lawyer to take a class action lawsuit out on them. The problem is finding a valid address…..
If someone really wants to go after them I suggest searching for their business registration. There are a few ways:
1. I searched the California registration of businesses and 2 came up with the word Penbrook in it. It gives addresses but I’m not sure they are related to Penbrook Productions. The website is: http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/list.html. Next I searched to see if there was a list of DBA (Doing Business As) for Penbrook which also have to register with the state. I could not find a place to search for DBA listings. However, someone with more time than me, could find this. Probably there will be a series of business names you will have to dig through to get to a real person and a real address.
2. The website they use has to be registered with ICANS. That is the website registering entity. They can provide who registered it. It probably was registered through a multiple number of entities so this will likely take a series of inquires.
3. The credit card company sent their payment to some valid business entity. Ask the credit card company for information on who they sent the money to. Again, there are probably layers of companies and address you will have to chase through.
Years ago an online moving company scammed me by picking up my household goods and then holding them hostage until I paid double the initial quote. I used these techniques to find the owner. He looked like he was going to have a heart attack when I knocked on his residence at 7pm and demanded my money back. Once I had his address, I was able to get the State Attorney office of FL to harrass him.
@ Connie: Wow, that’s interesting. The operation is worse than I realized. I’m adding a note about your experience to the post.

Hi everyone, I Expressed my concerns the other day for those who was scammed. Thank God I didn’t get trapped but I am happy to hear that at least some of the people getting their money back. For those who got scammed listen to the ones who went through the process and actually got the money back. Let me tell you what I did. I called the number that was provided earlier and I got a young lady with a heavy accent who said her name was “Jolene” she even spelled it for me. So I told her that I just purchased this program and I hear that it is not logitimate and I would like my money back. She said ” Yes maam this is a legitimate company and we are registered with the BBB and if I wasn’t happy then she could process my money back. So she said she needed some info from me to process my refund back to my card, I gave her my name and email address and a bogus last four digits and she put me on hold and when she came back she said ok maam your refund has been processed and that a confirmation would be sent via e-mail. People, I never made an order to began with so they are probably operating with pen and paper. The number I called was 1-800-785-8042. Good Luck!
I am so glad I went to this website before I decide to purchase. Otherwise, I also got scammed for $197.
People please! If you sent your money to Angela or any other of these scammers, GET YOUR MONEY BACK! Click the following link to learn how to get your money back from these guys:
https://ivetriedthat.com/2008/03/31/recover-money-lost-to-scams-with-a-refund/
Don’t let them keep it!
What a bummer! I also got scammed for $197. It could have been worse. Someone named “Heather” called me from an 801 area code wanting me to put $10K to $20K on my credit card to get my internet business started.
Why is the world full of such scum that prey on people struggling to survive? I bet they would steal from their grandmother if they thought they could make a buck.
Hi all my name is Lakisha and boy am I glad I decided to goosle Miss Angela. I was so taken in by her claims I was willing to take the risk something told me to google her I sont know why I mever google people and I was guided to this site. There is a GOD!! I feel so bad fo rthe ones whohave been taken. I too havebeen scammed in the past. Her ad sounded so convinving. I do know Cnat remener who said it but one thing is repetive about scammers like angela they always have the same sob story and always claim to be living the high life!!! It is so sad. Quwstion I got a call a fe months back to process insurance rebates from home it was a govenment job the rep. stated that I would be processing insurance checks to ppl who have paid off their house. I called the 800# back and it said it was a job throught he govenment agency. The rep that claled me had no patience when I was questioning her which was a red flag I aksed well if you can make so much money doing this why arent you doing it why are you calling trynna get ppl to sign up when you can be making more money doing this? cant recall her response but I do recall she had a lot of attitude red flag. Message states that you would be paying $67 for a listing of ppl who have paid off there mortgage and are due a insurance check and for each refund you process you can make $400 – $800. That was earlier this year I never did it but I called the number today when I got scamangela’s e-mail and it is the same as it was Was tempted to purchase because it said I would be working for the givenment but I am thinking if ppl paid off their mortgage dontg they know they are due money/insurance checks why would they not collect it? Does anyone know about this the number is 888-225-0068 it claims that you will be workign for the govenment processing home owner insurance checks My title woudl be refund processor It was a 3rd party recovery program offer Joe you seem to know a lot and is ont he ball please advise my personal e-mail is lakisha@slappa.com thanks so much
UNBELIEVABLE.. I just received another email from “Angela” today. This is what the SUBJECT LINE said:
Rhonda, Please Confirm #817-5627
($117,000 working from home position).
I just had an idea.. I think I’m going to send a “warning” email to everyone in my address book. Maybe if we all do that and it gets forwarded to others, we can keep people from losing more $$$ and keep Angela from making more.
Tom & Jan .. PLEASE don’t be so hard on yourself. I’m sure you’re both intelligent people who are TRUSTING, NOT GULLIBLE! There’s a difference. I got lucky this time by googling & running across this website, but I’ve definitely been “had” before. My husband and I both have fallen for a couple of different things– I consider myself pretty smart and I think my husband’s one of THE smartest people I’ve ever known. Something like this that looks so promising and legitimate means someone seriously put a lot of thought into how they could ‘hook’ INTELLIGENT people who DON’T MIND working. It’s not like you were looking for something completely free and easy — you were looking for a JOB where you could WORK to make money. Another example of someone putting lots of thought in their scam to watch for is people claiming to be so blessed by God. I know that sounds horrible, but I am a born-again, spirit-filled Christian woman, but just because someone’s claiming “blessings” doesn’t mean anything — they could turn out to be the devil’s advocate!
Anyway, just wanted to say please don’t let this IDIOT WOMAN (whoever she really is) make you feel unintelligent. SHE is the evil one (and all who work for/with her) and if she doesn’t pay for it in this life, she will in the next.
Sorry if I sound too idealistic, but just hated the way your messages sounded like you feel YOU messed up — yes, you were ‘taken’, but SHE (‘angela’) is the idiot.
It sounds like the people on this site (ivetriedthat) who are willing to harrass this company end up getting their $$$ back, so stay on their case — don’t give up. Also, report the to the BBB!
I would like to thank this website for telling me the truth about Angela Penbrook. This website just saved me $197.00. I also get like 2-4 emails a day regarding this magnificent processing “scam”!
I am retired. And gullible. It looked so promising–and workable. I had red flags go off in my head when the promised info on how to work rebates was only available as a “download.” No book form, no phone number, no address…
I actually paid the fee ($197) per Visa, then halfway through the download, I turned off my computer. I couldn’t find my way back to where I left off nor access a place to use the password that I had to resume the download info. I will fight their getting any money through Visa. I just feel old and silly.
Jerry, you do understand that we’re not Angela Penbrook, right? If you read this post and all the comments, you’ll see that you’ve been scammed. She’s not going to respond. Barking at her from here is like yelling at the Chinese government from Mexico.
Angela Penbrook I hope your Business should like your said to do
because I have paid $197.00 for order but I could not get any chance to work(begin earn money)that is not good why your cheatting? also I try to call your desk that phone always nobody answer how can I contact to you?????. how can I get my money back? I don’t like your now always norespoding ok!!!!!
I have to join order but I still could not get any webpage from Her So I confuse what is that I order by 03/17/2008 now is 04/05/2008 already half month passed but still not yet begin to work (earn money) I don’t know what is that mean need how long time I can get it webpage?
I hope God reserves one of the hottest places in hell for this Angela(Angel) person & her 14 million dollars, because she truly deserves it. The government says they need to protect us against Alqaeda, but I’d rather they protect us against the Angela Penbrooks of the world – they hurt every bit as much. I honestly right now would rather have her head on a platter than Osama Bin-Ladin’s. I didn’t google and I got taken too. I am ashamed of myself. It hurts. It’s so embarrasing. I really wanted this to work. I am completely broke right now & this just adds to the hole I am in. I am almost ready to give up on the internet – I have been scammed at least 10 times, maybe more; I am just a gullible idiot.
All I can say is thank God for Google and this site (Ivetriedthat.com). I was almost reaching for my wallet until that little voice in my head said “if it sounds like it’s too good to be true, it probably is” and was the little voice ever so right.
If more people would utilize their voting rights maybe we could get some laws enacted with big enough teeth to get people like Angela or Angel (or whom ever they are) put in prison instead of being put on probation or just fined. These people need hard time and should be made example of to anyone who thinks of trying this kind of scam.
I received the same confirmation number of “892368” today. when I questioned the validity of the number I was placed on hold. The rep stated that he could not understand how that number could have been used. His name is Benedict Quino at least that is what he said his name was. I called 1-866-885-8126. If you actually read through the manual, the grammar was horrible for someone who states they are doing seminars and have a net worth of 9 million dollars and then change to 14 million dollars after stating her income is a comfortable 6 digit income.
So, as a supportive spouse, my girlfriend stumbled across the ever so enlightening offer of processing rebates from home. In between jobs, I told her that if that was something that she wanted to do I would support her in this decision, but knowingly in the back of my mind that it was a scam. We agreed for her to try it. Well, to our surprise, another job offer,(real-life, not net based), was at hand, and she took it, so therefore no time to process the rebates. So she called the number that was listed off of the website that was given upon payment, and low and behold the number wasn’t in service. Next day, we were talking about the whole thing, and how it was a scam, and my phone rang,( which was odd, due to the fact that when she signed up she used her number), and it was a courtesy call from penbrook asking how she liked the program. She told them that she got another job offer and was unable to complete the series of courses that one has to go through in order to process the rebates, that she would like to have her money re-deposited into our bank account. The gentleman on the phone gave her a customer service number to call. We have called them twice now to get it back. The last time I called I got off the phone I had to chuckle on how much inadequacy they possess, reason being is that they gave me the same confirmation number both times for when the money is to be re-deposited. So this morning I was checking into my bank account to see if it was re-deposited yet, because they sent me an email stating that it was going to be within 5-7 business days, and it has not. So i jumped on the horn once again and called them, and I told them of their flaws, i.e. same confirmation number, and basically I threatened them, to make it short. The lady that I spoke with told me that the money will be in my account today. If not, I will be calling them back once again if I have too. And I will harass them until i get it back. So, just in case you all don’t have a correct number, here are the two that I have. 1-800-785-8042, and 1-866-885-8126.Wish us luck and good luck to all of you who are in our position.
She got me in too. I felt regret that I didn’t do google before I paid it. Now, I am wondering if there are anyway I can get my money back. Thank you!
Hi Patricia. I just saw your comment about not receiving your refund! I hope you get it back, but what concerns me is that you said you were going to check your bank later to see if the transaction that he referred to. I hope and pray she/he/they don’t have your ban info!!
Joe.. thanks so much for the advice. I’ll be doing some research (using your advice) in the next few days.
Thanks again!
@ Susan and Rhonda: Yes, there are such jobs to be found. The first thing I would suggest is that you change your expectations a little. Instead of looking for a “real online job,” look for real jobs, online. There’s a big difference. An “online job” implies that you’ll be doing work over the internet, interacting with information that’s on another computer somewhere out there. We have never seen genuine jobs of this type. Scammers know that expectation and play on it to suck money out of you. A job you find online is different. You use the Internet to find real jobs, but you do the work offline, and it’s stored on your local computer. You’ll return finished work to an employer or client using the Internet, but you don’t do the work over the ‘Net. We have seen thousands of these types of jobs.
A good place to start is the “Work at Home Jobs” link at the top of this page. We also tell you a lot about finding work like this in our e-book, which for a limited time, is priced at whatever you want to pay. Check it out.
Connie .. I feel the same way. Did just like you, had my credit card in my HAND, when I decided to google!! I hope all that were scammed will take it “all the way” til they get their $$$ back!
My feelings exactly, Susan !!!
There has to be SOMETHING to do from home that can be done on MY time, whether it’s from 2 to 4 in the afternoon or 8 to 10 at night!!
Thank you people for saving me $197. I should have known this was a scam,,sounded to good to be true. I’m glad I googled and found you. *****ALWAYS…ALWAYS…GOOGLE TO CHECK FOR A SCAM B4 YOU BUY!!**** Honestly does anyone know of a good website to make money off of. I know most of us just want a real online job, we are willing to put in the time if we could just find the right online job. we all want to work for our money, we just need to do it from home because of our circumstances.
it’s been 8 business day, and i still havent receive my refund, so i called them again today, and this guy took all my info “again” and telling me to wait another 5-7 days, he couldn’t even speak english, i insisted and started yelling at him until he finally put me on hold for a while and check the status. He said the transaction was done on 03/21/08 and he gave me a transaction#, i’m gonna check with my bank later to see what’s going on. I’ll let u know.
I was almost scammed, but looked into this Angela Pembrook scam here. Thank you. Tammie
Hi everyone, My sincere concerns go out to all those who fell for this horrible scam. I was almost a victim. I had my credit card in my hand until something told me to Google her. Well I did and I read all of your notes. Thank God for this website. And good luck to all who are fighting for their money back. This is a lesson for us. I will never trust anything like this again. The next time i get an email like this its going straight to the trash. Just having that feeling of almost charging my credit card for this makes me sick. GOOD LUCK!
p.s. you can reach me at alissacamron@att.net

This is for Wendy that posted a complaint on 3/28. How did you find the invoice that you emailed the company to get your refund? Email me at danniemann2002 at yahoo.com Thanks!
This is for Patricia or anyone else that has actually spoken with a live person in “customer service” for this Angela Penbook. Were you given a confirmation number of 892368??? I called twice today and got 2 different people, obviously, and was given the same confirmation number twice. Total scam!!! They are obviously not going to refund anyones money. I wish I would have been smart and googled her name first. Lesson learned! There should be a class action lawsuit for this site so everyone can get their money back. It’s sick how people pray on people in need. It truly makes me sick to my stomach! Hopefully, our only beacon of light is that these people will rot! I’m a little angry about the whole thing. More angry at myself for being sucked in i guess.
I have received numerous offers on rebates and read Angela’s this morning. Saw the testimonials and then there was the price tag. $197. Red flag. Have spoken with BBB regarding doing online surveys. Actualy paid $39.95 on time (which my CC company disputed and i got the money back. BBB informed me that if there is a charge with a survey, then it is a scam. You can make a little money doing it at no charge but the time involved doing it is not worth it.
I ALWAYS google any company and seeing this website regarding this dishonest woman scammming people out some people’s hard earned money is infuriating. She belongs in jail!
I to have been taken. (Stupid me) I was sitting down at the computer to start the process at step one. Clicked on the site, gave my info and password. The page has been removed? Received a e-mail that the second week training course is now available? clicked on it and this page has been removed? Yesterday being April 1st. (April FOOLS) I received a call on my cell. It was a rep from Angela wanting to interview me for there next success story? I was in Home Depot and said I didn’t have time to talk at the moment. They are calling back. I am responding here after I decided to Google her this morning. WIsh I would have done that three weeks ago. Thanks for the heads up Bailey.
