Hey, you! “Angela Penbrook!” We’re calling you out. You are deliberately misleading people desperate for legitimate work so you can sell your “rebate processing program.” We’re gonna expose you.
When we said we were going to review the “rebate processing jobs” that have become popular over the last year, one of the first commenters asked if we were going to look at Angela Penbrook’s system at myrebateprocessor.com or processfromhome.com. Or is it “Angel Stevens?” It doesn’t really matter because both “women” and their claims are equally misleading.

[Update March 10, 2009: ABC News’s 20/20 program featured this scam on March 6. Click here to watch the segment.]
We didn’t sign up for her program because it was $197, while other sites are offering the exact same “opportunity” for as little as $29.95. And because we didn’t sign up, this is not a full review. It’s merely my opinion based on experience and based on the claims on “Angela’s” own website.
Read All About “Rebate Processing Jobs”
If you’re new to I’ve Tried That, you’ll want to click over to our full review of rebate processor jobs. We signed up for one of them and tell you all about what they’re really offering.
After you’ve read that original review, this one will make a lot more sense. It’s the same pig, just with different lipstick.
It’s Not a Job. They’re Barely Rebates
What Penbrook is offering you is not a job. You’re not going to get batches of work from Home Depot of Blockbuster or Netflix. It is internet marketing. And to call what you would be doing “rebate processing” is deliberately misleading. Here’s how the program is supposed to work:
- The forms you fill out are used to create Internet advertisements for companies selling products through Clickbank, a large Internet marketing clearing house.
- After you create an ad, you have to get lots of people to see it. You do this by spreading your ads all over the ‘Net. (Psst! That’s called “spam” and is frowned upon in polite societies.)
- When lots of people see it, some will click on it.
- When lots of people click on it, some will purchase whatever your ad is selling.
- Then, and only then, will you get paid.
- The “rebate” is you sending part of your commission back to the buyer.
Lots of Hype, Little Substance
Here’s a clue you can use to spot misleading “job” advertisements every time: look for the sales tactics. Why are sales tactics a clue that you’re about to be taken to the cleaners? Because the scammer led you to believe that you’re learning about a job. But if you read the whole page, do you have a good idea of what you will be doing?
Imagine going to a job interview and your potential boss tells you a sob story about how broke he was, how he finally “made it” and how you can make thousands of dollars a day. Wouldn’t you be suspicious he didn’t tell you what work you would be doing? The same principle applies to Internet “job” advertisements.
Here are the sales tactics Angela Penbrook uses at myrebateprocessor.com. See the looooong page that starts out with emotional hype? See the clock ticking down until your chance to buy expires? Those are designed to sell you something, not to get you to do legitimate work. Do you really think the positions are almost full and that “today might be the last day?” It’s a sales tactic. See the testimonials? See the pictures of riches and happy people? All are designed to push your emotional buttons to get you to click and buy.
The Full Truth About Some of Her Lies
$15 per rebate? If you make a sale from your Internet ads AND the commission is more than $15 AND you decide to send all but $15 back to the purchaser as a “rebate,” then yes, you made $15. I don’t know about you, but that’s a lot of “if.”
Three easy steps? Yes, you can sign up at Clickbank, create ads, and see who has made purchases that are eligible for refunds. I guess those are three steps. But they are NOT easy steps. They’re categories of steps, each one requiring countless hours and clicks. You’ll spend many hours just to get started, let alone the complex steps involved in getting people to see and click on your ads.
The reasons processing rebates is profitable. These reasons are about halfway down her page, after the table showing how much money you can make. They are deliberately written to make you think companies are dieing to “hire” you to work from home processing their rebates. I hope it’s clear by now that nothing could be further from the truth.
If You Don’t Believe Me, How About the Better Business Bureau?
The BBB report has this to say about myrebateprocessor.com:
Complainants allege false advertising, misrepresentation, inability to obtain refunds, and failure to honor their money back guarantee. Some customers complain that instead of receiving an employment opportunity, they received only instructions on internet sales tactics. Other complainants report they are unable to speak with anyone at the company or that company personnel is rude or fails to resolve their concerns. Most complainants allege the company fails to provide any information or instructions on obtaining refunds. All complaints are pending at this time.
And this:
We believe this company’s advertising is deceptive and misleading. They are not directly offering employment. They sell information, not viable work opportunities. In our experience, the only one collecting any money will be this company collecting your $197.00. We know of no work at home offer that has ever generated the amount of income implied or advertised in the offer.
Scrubbing the Ick Off
I could go on, but I’ve spent enough time with Angela Penbrook. I need to go take a shower now. I’m so thoroughly disgusted with her deception, I can’t even tell you. Here at I’ve Tried That, we hear from lots of people who are just trying to make a little extra working from home, and they get taken in by lying pages like this one. They usually spend money they don’t have to sign up for programs they don’t understand. Angela Penbrook knows this and plays your fears to make herself rich.
We’ve written a book that tells you how to find real jobs online and how to spot deceptive advertising like rebate processing sites use.
[Update: April 5, 2008]
This is very revealing. Connie in the comments called “Angela’s” 1-800 number to demand a refund. The rep on the other end of the line took her name and information, put her on hold, and then came back and said her refund was being processed. But Connie never signed up to begin with! “Angela Penbrook’s” operation is probably being run from a kitchen table somewhere with a pencil and paper.
I was on CarreerBuilders.com when I saw the “Make $225 a Day From Home” and clicked on it and read Angela’s spill. It was very interesting to say the least. I decided to check a little deeper before accepting her offer when I saw this site and I’m glad that I did.
I’m assumimg by all of the responses that Angela Penbrook and Angel Stevens are one in the same.
I did go out onto rebateprocessortools.com/ebook/ and read in detail about her “Con”.
Yes, this is a “Con” make no mistake about it.
Funny thing is that this is the same scam being ran everywhere you look. You get people to make the same mistake you just made by them buying your “How-To Make Money At Home”
If you just got scammed, how could you sleep at night by scamming others into the same exact money making con?
I was scammed years ago. Single Mother with two small children when I saw an ad in the local newspaper to make money stuffing envelopes. After I sent my Money Order to the P.O. Box I received in the mail a packet on how to do the very same thing to someone else.
I honestly don’t know how people can sleep at night!
Hey, I just sent an email to them asking for a refund even though I have not fallen to their scam.. I am curious and will share with you what their response will be… this shld be fun…
I am so sorry that all of you people have had to go through this!! I was scammed (not by Angela Penbrook) by a company that supposedly I was going to do data entries. Paid $95 or so. Well, I had SPECIFIC directions to first, just send my “resume” to the listed companies. THEN, once I send out my resume, wait a week and contact the companies to let them know that I had sent my resume to them. Well, I did the OPPOSITE.. Found out that NONE of those companies had heard of such a “contract”.. it was ugly.. never got my money back or anything.. even after sending the information back to them.. all a scam!!! Now I know, IF YOU HAVE TO PAY TO WORK, IT’S A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ben, did Steve hire you to do a pitch for our book? It shows you how to find real, realistic jobs that will help you earn a couple hundred extra per month if you have some decent computer skills. The only online “program” (as opposed to jobs) I’ve found that will do that is blogging. But it’s not overnight.
I just went through Angela’s website and it sounded to good to be true. I haven’t found any work from home project that can make money that fast or even in the same day. Her website is a big big scam. I’m glad I decided to google it. If I had bought her program (which I really didn’t have the money for)I would have lost more money and I would have been pi***d off! Take advice from all the comments that were posted here. She needs to be stopped. People that want to work from home like myself that needs to make extra money takes this very seriously. My confidence is getting worse as I continue to try and find online programs that are actually legitate to help me financially succeed in life. I’m not looking for six figure income(if it’s real), I just looking for realistic money like $200 up to $1000.
Thanks for letting me vent a little.
I just sent in a message to Fox news network. Maybe they’ll get them. I’m currently in the process of getting my money back…
I got an email about this and almost fell for it but came across and article here http://www.reviewopedia.com/rebate-processing.htm
Serge Dandelin writes about fraud and due diligence:
“Fraud. You find it everywhere. There is so much of it in today’s world that you would think this is the rule and not the exception.
The fact is that many people find it easier to make money by cheating others than working hard. Sad but true.
Where does that leave you?
You need to be very circumspect when you buy something on the Net so you could spot the signs that point to fraud and protect yourself.”
Mr. Dandelin, who is apparently a “Search Engine Optimization specialist and consultant” who has written over 300 articles in print and 5 published ebooks, proceeds to demonstrate that he knows very little about business opportunity laws.
Don’t follow his advice.
At present, there is only one sure fire way to avoid a business opportunity fraud.
First, locate the regulator responsible for overseeing the sale of business opportunities in your state.
There are 26 such regulators.
Second, phone them up, or email them and ask if the seller is registered in your state.
Third, if they are not registered- pass on the opportunity. If they are registered, get a copy of their registration and start your due diligence – preferably by finding other people interested in the opportunity.
Here is an example, from the State of Washington. Coastal Vacations is a fraudulent business opportunity seller of work at home scams. In 2001, the State of Washington cracked down on them, and again in 2007.
But if you don’t know where to look, then all the regulator’s hard work goes out the window.
So why did Serge write up his silly article on fraud – when he had nothing of value to add?
Because he wants you to think that he is a trusted authority, which will make it easier for him to sell you some scammy SEO services.
This is why we need to take action, Angela Penbrook has broken each and every one of these laws.
cause of action
n. the basis of a lawsuit founded on legal grounds and alleged facts which, if proved, would constitute all the “elements” required by statute. Examples: to have a cause of action for breach of contract there must have been an offer of acceptance; for a tort (civil wrong) there must have been negligence or intentional wrongdoing and failure to perform; for libel there must have been an untruth published which is particularly harmful; and in all cases there must be a connection between the acts of the defendant and damages. In many lawsuits there are several causes of action stated separately, such as FRAUD, breach of contract, and debt, or negligence and intentional destruction of property.
Mike thanks for the comment, but unfortunately when you use a bank debt card you can not stop payment that easily. You must file a dispute this takes up to two months for the final decision. This doesnt mean you dont get your money back, they reverse the charges on a temporary basis until the dispute is finalized. If the bank concludes the charges were legit they will debit your account again and you loose all the way around.
It sucks but that is how it works.
I’m not sure how you other paid for this scam, but I called my credit card company on 4-1-08 to dispute the charge. I got a letter from credit card company although it was dated 4-2-08
yesterday. Stating the dispute has been settled and a credit would be put on my card.. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE OTHERS STILL TRYING TO GET THERE MONEY BACK
Thank you all for your feed back on Angela’s offer. I was so close to ordering and I just had a bad feeling about it. So, I googled her name and this is where it took me. I hope all of these complaints will keep people from losing their money.
Thanks again.
I like the countdown at the bottom of the page. I was worried I would run out of my 2 hours and 30 minute time limit. That is until I refreshed the page and it went back to 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 3 seconds…every time I refreshed the page. whew. What a relief, now I have unlimited time to sign up.
regarding my previous post, I meant to say I’ve been scammed and not that I scammed. Just wanted to clear that up
Re: Angela Penbrook
WOW!!
I can’t believe people like this are still doing s… like this. I’ve scammed once for a small amount $90.00 on an internet bogus purchase even though I spent countless hours researching. Anyway I wrote this off and chalked it up to stupidity. I read the Angela Penbrook opportunity, did the research and found this website, what I can say is there needs to be more publicity over the net about this forum.
Good Luck to those trying to get their money back and god bless those that bring these scammers to the forefront.

I feel so stupid for believing in this BS. I really though it was a good opportunity to make good money. I was gonna call her 866 #, but now I won’t. For what? Thanks to you guys I know I won’t get my money back that way. I’m calling my C.C company (AmEx) and see what happens…
I’m think I can get in touch with a friend of mine that works for a TV station, but it’s a latin station, so I don’t know if it will work. I haven’t talk to him in 4 years, but I can try. He works for Univision, the biggest hispanic network in the country and I think he was working in the news dept. but I’m not sure.
@michelle: I can’t load b-c-h.net this morning, either. The goods are just that it looks like “Penbrook” stole a picture from a retirement community to use as a testimonial. You can also see it this way: look at the testimonials at myrebateprocessor.com. Now go to Google images and search for “retired couple.” Go to page 3 of the results. Look at the top row of images.
@everyone: Please don’t post full links to any of “Penbrooks’s” sites here in the comments. If you leave off the http and the www, a reader can still find it, but it won’t be a link. Thanks.
Final Vent, I called Bank of America (credit card I used) and they said that though they can see the payment pending, not processed yet, they could not cancel the transaction. Shame our Banking system if your credit card company can’t cancel a pending transaction!
You can go into paypal and cancel a transaction if you need to (I don’t work for them, I use them and had some fraud attempted on me. Buyer thought I had shipped item, I had not). Can’t believe I didn’t do more research here, guess I trusted CareerBuilder. Never again.

Big Joe
I gave them this web site address, so that they may see first hand all the comments that have been posted and all the people who have been caught out there. I also contacted SHAME ON YOU! fox 5 ny. Hopefully they will contact me too, I’ve been looking into the different web sites for legal assistance I will track them down till the end of the world, there will be justice.
Michelle
Here’s some information I could provide the FBI with;
Michelle, there is no site after they rip you off! All you get is the ebook on how list ads and maybe make some money using clickbank (one of their listings I found yesterday no longer works, though it’s still on their site).
The only info I have is from the welcome and noreply emails I received. Never received anything more.
Thanks for the feedback Michelle and any action you can take. I recommend anyone who’s purchased this information about processing rebates for $15.00 per contact the FBI and file a complaint: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/ I have been calling and have emailed with no response or hours on hold since a few hours after I received the ebook B_ _ _S_ _ T
I also tried calling the phone number associated with jgtyh6@privacypost.com and simply receive a recorded message to leave a message about some website managing company. Angela is probably in Canada and picks up any checks mailed to her in Vancouver until they get found out and move P.O. Boxes.
If you bought this, it’s definitely worth spending a few minutes reporting it to the FBI. With any correspondence to Channel 5 Fox News NY you should also mention that Careerbuilder is where we all found her listing and that they are still running one with Angel Stevens on CareerBuilder.
I’ve tried to contact careerbuilder to no avail, shame on them!
Joe.
You got me I cant get into the site and besides how do I get into penbrooks sites? Supply me with some knowledge, I want to know everything I can so that when its time to burn her and her associates to a stake I have everyting I need to do that. I mean business and again if everyone had the will power we can get her right where it hurts. I know I sound like a broken record but unity is what works best.
Huh. I found something interesting. Pick one of Penbrooks’s sites and look at the snapshots of the testimonials.
Now look at http://b-c-h.net and click “Retirement Village”
See anything familiar?
Thanks Joe.
I’m just standing up for myself instead of complaining about it. We all need to stand up for our rights. Listen I too like Big joe will be calling Vancouver police as well as Looking into a class action suit against this crazy B**** and her associates. I’m going to chew her up and spit her out. Once I’ve found out about what needs to be done for this class action suit I will post it, to see if anyone is interested on getting on board with me.
Thanks
You rock, Michelle. I’ll say it again: you rock. If everyone subscribed to this thread takes some action, maybe we’ll make a difference.

OK People if your really serious about this, act now! I have just sent an e-mal to Channel fox 5 NY, SHAME ON YOU! asking them to help me out on this venture..I want to take down these crooks and fast! any additional information you may have on these crooks would be most def welcomed, I am not playing games its not the money anymore that bothers me, I’m mind boggled at how people can be so vicious and cruel. They are going to wish they ever bumped into the liking of me….
Hey big Joe thanks for the bit of info on internet crimes with the FBI. I just filed a complaint and I will be also contacting channel 5 Shame ON YOu! I think its channel 5news but none the less I will be contacting everyone and anyone who is willing to listen till I take down these crooks, Ive been laid off out of 394.00 dollars because they double billed me my only consolation prize is that I have no life right now and no money but I have plenty of time to hunt these sons of b***h’s down. Anyone who is interested in filing a complaint with internet crimes please do not hesitate the more people involved in the complaints the more serious they will take us.

I am ashamed to say that I was so desperate to find something to make money at home that I joined. I was sent a set of instruction detailing what I would do. I have yet to make any money though. It has only been a couple of days and for some reason I decided to google it and boy am I sorry I didn’t do it sooner!!!
Hi, Just like the all of you above, I too fell for all the hype from Ms. Penbrook. I actually saw this as a way to potentially make a few bucks by working at home. I am a firm believer now that if it sounds to good to be true….It’s NOT! I logged into the wealthdci.com page and quickly read the e-book….boy was I disappointed. I was waiting for an email with further instructions on how to actually begin rebate processing, but as you already know….it never came. Today, after reading all of your posts, I decided enough was enough. So I called up the company and was placed on hold for about 10 minutes before being greeted by a young man who spoke very broken English and required that I spell out almost every bit of information he requested. At the end, I was at least given a confirmation number and told to expect a refund within 5-7 days. I will have to just wait and see if it actually happens. Thanks to all of you for posting your experiences, it gives people like me the encouragement to fight back. (ps. just as I was writing this message, I got a call from a gentleman who works with the Penbrook company, and wanted to know how I was enjoying the program……boy did he get an ear full. The guy had guts though, he tried to sell me on another product…fool me once shame on you….not today!! All the best. John
It’s ok that you didn’t publish my email. It gave me a chance to vent anyway. So thank you.
Hi everyone,
First, I’m sorry for all who bought this horrible woman’s program. I’m sure there is a nice place in hell reserved for her and her’s, where they can sharpen their horns and pitch coal with their tails!! I almost fell for it and I can ill afford to lose 197.00. In my heart, I knew it was too good to be true. Let’s face it. Why work outside home for peanuts, if you could make thousands, while sitting in pj’s and drinking coffee, not having to run for some idiot boss.
I’ve been looking for work ( real work) with no success( as I am older)and I guess desperation set in. I’m so glad I didn’t go through with it, because I would have hunted this b…h down and ended up in jail. Well good luck to everyone waiting to get refunds. I wish you the best.
call me a sucker also! Got me credit card statement today and lo and behold there it was $197.00 to the scammer, which I cancelled the next day (mar 6). I called at 2:30 CST waited 15 minutes, someone picked up and disconnected, called back at waited for 1 hour and 27 minutes….same damn thing happened. called that 866-885-8126 number and that number didn’t even go through as anything. called the 800-785-8042 and got a “valerie” asked for my name and email address. After being extremely firm with her i also got a transaction number of 660871123 and I asked how soon would i see this take place and she said “it already has been done, we no longer have your money and it was credited to your account”. hmmm, we’ll see.
You can also file with the FBI for Internet Fraud at:
http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/
It only takes a few minutes and they will put the appropriate local/state authorities on it if they don’t handle it.
Hi, I got ripped off just yesterday for $197.00 as well and received nothing, no website, no email (except the afforementioned ebook about how to use clinkbank) and no phone numbers. Been calling all afternoon and just getting all circuits are busy. Called my bank and the payment is “pending” and they say they can’t cancel so I have to wait til these scam artists get my money before I can dispute. Good all, stay away from Angela Penbrook, I’m calling the Vancouver, WA police and will let you know if I get anywhere with them.
I am so glad to have ran into this website. At first i was so excited thinking that i could be making money from my home, since i am a stay at home mom and housewife, that i almost signed up for it and would’ve payed $197! Good thing i mentioned it to my husband and asked him to take a look at it first. Sure enough he told me right away that it could be a scam and he googled the website, and boy am i relieved that i did not lose that money! So everybody please, pass the word along that Angela Penbrook is a liar, if that is her real name!! Thanks everybody for the posts, i hope it helps more people.
Oh my God!!! I am fairly new to the internet world, but I foolishly gave Angela SINbrook $197. I have been trying to get my refund (confirmation # 892368) for 2 months. Thankfully my bank (Wachovia) credited my account and they are investigating this witch. I wish I had known how to find these reviews before I made that mistake. How can Careerbuilder continue to let her rip people off? Something needs to be done. Everyone should be alerted somehow. I’m mad as hell…..
WOW!!! I am so glad I decided to google Angela first, and then to read all this!! O M G, I also found another advertisement which read the same way by another gal, Cindy Dalton, who was selling the same for $39. & yes, there was a timer ticking while reading all (disclaimer, privacy, etc.). Thank you so much for doing the leg work on this scam. I was about to purchase it because I am looking for a LEGITIMATE stay @ home job. I don’t know how much of a heart ache this would’ve been not to think of the numerous hours spent trying to follow-up.
Thanks again & still looking!!
Hey Everyone, I just read through some of the other posts. I noticed that Marie on an earlier post dated April 4 received the same confirmation number that I did.
Folks, you do not have to be victimized by this con artist. Here is the link to get it for free.
[link removed by Joe. Contact Carl at the email address below, or click on his name, if you want more information.]
I would be glad to here from anyone who has be saved from this scam website. carl at littleguynetwork-x dott… com.
And if you want a real opportunity to make money from home, I can tell you about what I am doing.
Isn’t it funny that we all get the same refund authorization code of 892368. If we check we probably all have the same information. Just for sh**s and giggles here is my info…anyone have the same?
Site ID-1002046
Customer ID-387314
Transaction ID-645393031
OH…my favorite part of the email I received from them is refund results “SUCCESS”. Yes, they have “SUCESS”fully taken my hard earned money. I actually contacted my bank and explained the situation and they are sending me a dispute form. It may be a while before I get my money returned but at least I feel like I have a better shot now then what I did before. Like so many others I also need to make extra money so I finally decided to join a direct selling company that is legit! Of course, it won’t make me rich over night but it is only 2 years old and backed by Readers Digest. It has given me some extra money so far. For those of you still looking for something keep it up…you will find what you are looking for. If anyone is interested in what I am doing (like I said extra money but not filthy rich) let me know because it is a ground floor opportunity.
ATTENTION…ATTENTION…ATTENTION…ATTENTION…ATTENTION…
UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE…UPDATE
Angela Penbrook is a criminal.
READ ON…READ ON…READ ON…READ ON…READ ON…
This site put up by someone calling themselves Angela Penbrook is a scam and criminal.
If you are thinking about putting money into this consider this.
Just a few minutes ago, after reading some of the other posts, I decided to do an experiment. I called the customer service number located at the top of the “privacy policy” page. It is located at the bottom of the page in the footer area. It is a link to the privacy policy. The number was 1-866-885-8126
I called the number and gave the rep (she gave her name as Danielle) a bogus, fictitious name. I told her that I wanted a refund. (even though I have never bought anything from this company or this site) She asked when I purchased the program. I gave her a fictitious date. (Jan 23) She asked what my zip code was. I gave her a zip code from a piece of junk mail I just received this morning in the mail. She ask what was the last four numbers from the credit card I used to purchase the program. I told her I did not remember which credit card it was.
She put me on hold for about 30 seconds.
When she came back on, she address me as MR. (the fictitious name I gave her) She told me that she was able to locate my purchase and was inputing the information. And then told me that I should see a direct deposit to my bank account within 5 to 10 days. And even gave me a confirmation number. 892368 was the number.
I asked for her extension or employee number. she told me they were not allowed to give that information out, but if I needed to call back I could just call and ask for her. She was the only one there by that name.
If you are thinking about sending these people money. Before you do. Do the same thing I did. See for yourself. If you get the same results, you will know they are scams in the worst way.
You are free to write me as well. I can tell you about a REAL way to make extra money from home. That is if you can stand real money from home.
Carl@
I to was caught out there, I have always promised myself never to get caught up in these kind of scams but considering that I’m now laid off and my son came home teling me that his teacher in school does this type of internet work, I thought wow if the teacher does it then it must be legit. Not really, Angela Penbrook took me not only for one $197.00 charge but for two, I called my bank filed a dispute for all charges and also called 800-785-8042. I spk with a Cristine Roberts and she so kindly indicated that I would recv a total refund within 5-7 busness days, even gave me a reference num. That was just too easy, but I will continue to harasse them if I dont recv my refund within the time frame she indicated. I’ll keep you posted on how it works out. I also think we should file a class action law suit against this worthless human being….
Thank you so much for your insight and I am so thankful that me amd my wifechecked out this angel person on your sight. We almost got scamed this morning by almost sending her 197.00.
Do you know anything about smc corp which has been in business for the last sixty one years?
Thanks

Tim, that’s good advice about the bank. I disagree about PayPal, though. I’ve dealt with them a lot and have never had a problem. (PayPal is our payment processor, too.) In fact, PayPal refuses to deal with many of the scam sites we’ve seen because the business or site is not reputable.
Even if you used a debit card that has been cancelled, you should be able to get your money back. Don’t let your bank jerk you around. It may cost you $25.00 bucks, but is worth it. You have to file within 30 days though, so do not let it go past that point, otherwise the bank will tell you they cannot do anything about it. As a bank, they can and will get the money from whatever bank account the money went to. I have gone through this with my bank on two different occassions. Both times I managed to recover my money. NEVER use a site like PayPal, 99.9% of the time, any offer like this is most definitely a scam if they use PayPal to get thier money.
Good luck.
@ Anita: I recently made a purchase from a different website once, then canceled that card, and then was issued a refund and it still went through. It was a debit card, too. It’s worth a try.
Wow i couldn’t beleive that Angela Penbrook has not been stopped prior to my be convinced that she is an honest business woman. there is now a little comfort in knowing that other honest consumers like you all have been given a disservice as i have. She must be stopped has any of you concidered a class action law suit? she is home base for computer crimes anyone interested please email me or if you have activated a class action lawsuit let me in on it. We all deserve better
I think that people should clog up her sites with her own information. I inputted this info from paul, because I NEARLY Got caught!!! I had already typed my info in, THEN I decided to google, and thank God for this wEBSITE.
I say clog her sites with her info, and maybe she will have to push on. It surely can’t replace getting your money back, but it sure felt good when I thought about them Looking to see who their next ‘sucker’ was, only to find her own info there!!!

Someone please help. Here’s what I did. As soon as I found out I had been scammed I immediately went to my bank, (by the way I used my debit card) and told them what had happened. their suggestion was to close the account, and issue a new debit card. So I closed the one I had used, but it still went thru. Now my concern is if I closed this account, I do not want them to get my new number, but if I try to get a refund, I’ll have to give them a number. Suggestions?
