Nigerian scam update 3

We’ve emailed twice, exchanged our fondest hopes and dreams, and now she sends me her bank statement and instructions to contact the bank. I’ve included the full email header for those who know how to read such things. Scroll down to get to her message and my email to her bank:

Good morning my dear Richard, first of all i am glad that you have told me your real name and i understand your explanation about that. Honey, you look very handsome in the photo that you sent to me, i love you in that photo. And thanks for explaining mutual fund to my understanding, i now understand the meaning of mutual fund and i am in support of investing the money in different things (mutual fund), and 60% a year is very very good honey, it is better we invest all the money in mutual fund.
Honey, i donk know who are my enemies that is why i left my country and come to this country to travel to london, but it did not work out for the dakar catholic mission to sponsor my travelling to london because i am not a catholic sister student as i have already told you. In school i want to study medicine because i want to be a medical doctor. Honey, you are the one who knows the best account to deposit the investment money, if savings account is the best, then it is ok by me. yes, honey we will definately go for mutual fund for my money.
in the past i emailed the bank alot of letters again and again to send me some money from my daddy’s bank account with them, i also called them on the telephone and the banker that received my call told me to give him my daddy’s bank account number, and i gave it to him and he checked and after checking he told me that because of their bank inherritance law and the agreement that my daddy signed with barclays bank that the bank cannot deduct any money from my daddy’s account to send to me, he said that the whole money will be released to me at once according to the agreement that my daddy signed with them, and that i must claim the money first before they will transfer it for me.
the banker said that i have to come to barclays bank in london to withdraw my inherrited money by myself in person OR that i should appoint a foreign partner who will claim the money on my behalf as i want to invest the money overseas and that when i do that they will transfer all the money to me and my foreign partner for the purpose of the investment according to their bank inherritance law and the agreement that my daddy signed with them, and that it will be easy as my whole intention is to invest the money overseas. I was explaining to the banker that i am presently in Dakar and i told him all my problems, i also told him the fact that i cannot afford an air ticket for me to travel to their bank in london to withdraw my inherrited money, and that presently i am sleeping in the catholic mission, and that i have no pucket money to take care of myself, but to my greatest surprise the banker told me that they are working according to their bank inherritance law and the agreement that my daddy made with them, that they cannot change the bank laws because of me, that that is all. I understand all he told me that they are doing all this to secure my inherrited money and that they are working according to their bank law.
Now, i want you to email a letter to the bank and tell them that you are my fiance and that i have appointed you to be my foreign partner and my fund and investment manager and ask them what are the information of claim that they will need from you for them to release the money to us for the purpose of my intended investment because that is the key thing they will need to hear or read from you.
address is:
The fund release officer
Barclays Bank PLC
58 Southampton Row, Holborn,
London, WC1B 4NBTel: 0044 703 1943 550
Email: barclays@mycolaba.com
I have attached my daddy’s bank statement of account to this letter and i dont want you to let anybody see it honey, scan and send it to barclays bank so that they will know that you are my appointed foreign partner and treat you with respect, and you should keep the document to yourself only. i want you to email and call them by yourself and talk to them because they are waiting for my foreign partner to communicate with them through email and telephone call. I will be back soon to receive your lovely reply.
I remain yours ever,
Miss Angela Kennedywith all my love and kisses

How clever! She wants me to call them myself to verify everything is on the up and up. Hmm…I wonder why Barclay’s of London would have an email address at mycolaba.com? I emailed her bank as instructed, cc’ing her, and then sent her a follow-up message:

Dear Sir/Madam:
I am the fiance and fund manager appointee of Miss Angela Kennedy, an account holder at your facility. Please cease and desist with your difficulty and British redtaping and forthwith cooperate with Miss Kennedy, a very lovely young girl who’s just trying to get what her daddy wanted her to have.

On my authority as her manager, please tell me immediately what you need from me in order to release Miss Kennedy’s funds to me, who will promptly turn them over to her.

Thank You,
Richard Williams, Esq.

Hi Angela,
I sent an email to Barclays and demanded the information. Sometimes you just have to talk tough with these Brits. They drink tea, remember, and sit around saying “Jolly good.” You just have to know how to talk to people like that.

One thing I’m wondering, though. Why do they have an email address at colaba.com, do you suppose?

  1. Yes I have received at least 3 emails in the past year from there and it was a man supposedly wanting me to get his money and put it in an off shore account. HA! I AM NOT THAT STUPID!
