Here’s a new Craigslist scam that’s been brought to my attention by our old friend Joe! You guys do remember Joe, right? Sheesh, tough crowd. He’s only been gone for a few months, you know.
Joe has informed me that scammers are putting up seemingly real job ads on Craigslist. The ads look like they could be legitimate and don’t make any outlandish claims regarding pay or how easy the work is. However, the real scam begins after you send them an email.
Now, Joe is seasoned scam hunter and recognized the scam immediately. (I’ve seen him work. He has perfected the scammer mating calls. It’s kind of scary actually.) The ad was looking for an office assistant, to which Joe responded with, “Hi, I can write and type real good with Word or a typeriter. And files too. Do you want my resume?”
The scammer was quick to reply with this message…

USA Middle Market Payment Solutions System
Because of new law in European Union, any company, that receives money transfer from non-EU company, has to pay VAT (Value Added Tax), 20% from incoming transfer. But EU company doesn’t have to pay VAT receiving money transfer from person. Using this opportunity, our company grows continuously, and serves world wide clients.
Nothing more than a payment processing scam, despite the ad saying there are no checks involved. As long as these guys keep crafting up new schemes, I’ll continue to cover them.
If you have any similar emails, please forward them to Steve@ivetriedthat.com. I’ll post them here to help prevent others from falling for the scam.
There's only ONE program I really recommend. It helped me turn my 'hobby' into a $10,000+ per month money making machine. Click here for the exact formula I followed.
