[Feb 2103 Update: It appears the site has been sold and the old owner is no longer affiliated with the program. We still do not recommend it.]

This isn’t anything new. In fact, I reviewed TypistJobs.net over three years ago back in April of 2008. Old Ruth is still at it though and her program is still entirely misleading, horribly outdated, and just an overall complete waste of money.

Let’s take a look!

Is TypistJobs.net a Scam?

Yes, in the same sense that rebate processing, auction processing, and data entry jobs are scams.

Here’s how Ruth explains the work you’ll be doing…

Once you have become a member, we will give you lifetime access to our “members only area” page as well as 24/7 tech support. This page contains thousands of top paying companies that need your help in spreading the word about their products and/or business immediately!

All you have to do is type and submit short ad forms for the web companies of your choice and you could start making money right away! You will simply be inputting data and typing up forms for REAL companies, making REAL money! In this global economy, there is a tremendous need for enthusiastic and responsible home workers. If you are willing to work hard and take direction, then this program is for you!

Sounds pretty good, right? Work at home for a company that desperately needs your help typing and creating ads. Easy enough.

Now here’s what actually happens.

Ruth is charging you $50 to learn how to setup a Google Adwords account, create advertisements for the search results After you create an account, you’ll sign up for an affiliate network, partner with a company, and use their affiliate links to promote products via search engine ads. There are two major problems here.

First, it costs money to create these ads. A LOT of money. This is more commonly known as Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Marketing and NOT “Typing Jobs.” The typing you will be doing will cost you a lot of money. It’s not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you could easily lose hundreds or even thousands of dollars within a few hours.

Funny how Ruth casually forgets to mention the cost of placing ads on any of her pages. Here’s the general instructions offered by Ruth, “Step 1. Fill in a form. Step 2. Get paid. That’s it!” Oh how you break my heart.

Second, Ruth’s training consists of posting ads containing affiliate links only (judging by her claim of “You’ll never have to setup a website.) The problem here is this practice is NOT ALLOWED by Google. Posting an ad using just affiliate links will have your account closed and you will receive a ban from using Google Adwords.

There was a time (early 2005? Wow, that was over 6 years ago! Ick.) that this practice was allowed and was actually viable. However, things have changed drastically since then and this method of PPC marketing is NOT allowed any more.

Still want more proof this isn’t any sort of typing job? This is an email response that was received after asking Ruth if TypistJobs.net was a real typing job or an affiliate marketing scam as seen by many blogs online…

Yes, most of them are. [Steve edit: Ruth was questioned if the programs offered on her site were affiliate marketing training] It’s the best way to make money and in reality the only way to be able to make this amount. If you didn’t make money with another program it was because you didn’t have the right training and it was a bad program. Just choosing the wrong company to promote can make or break your income so with this business you need someone that will tell you exactly how to do this properly step by step then you cannot lose.

You shouldn’t spend time reading those blogs and forums. A lot of those people have failed in making money online and that’s where they gather to tell their failure stories and ruin everyone elses chances. We are the ones you should in all reality be listening to because we have proven our success and we can show you how to do it as well. I have successfully been in business since 2005 so I think it’s safe to say I have mastered the art of making money from home. However, the choice is really yours and how bad you want to succeed online.

I absolutely love how Ruth goes so far as to say, “Don’t listen to the thousands of different people who are calling us scammers. Trust us instead.” Yeah, because there’s nothing less credible than someone who’s actually tried your program and failed to make money. Give me a break.

I’d just like to point out one last thing. Here are two lines taken directly from the website…

How would you like to make an extra $100, $200,or even $500 – EVERY single day, working just 15-30 minutes a day! […] This is NOT a “Get Rich Quick Scheme.”

In what world is making $500 a day for at most 30 minutes a work not considered “getting rich quick?” I think Ruth needs to have her head checked because she clearly has a few marbles loose.

One final recap, Ruth is selling completely useless information on how to buy advertising space on Google. Even if her methods did work (they don’t), you would have to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a chance at making a small return. This method hasn’t worked for years and is now illegal on most ad networks.

Stay far away from this one guys.

I was asked by Ruth Clevinger via email to send $49.95 USD in order to get life time membership fee to join and start the work thereby earning $100-$500 every single day by doing work from my home. Thanks to the google ads to prevent me from doing so. Thanks a lot.
