It’s a part-time, work from home basis and the flexibility means that there will be busier weeks than others. So it’s a little difficult judging the exact number of hours you’ll be doing per week. If you can manage your time properly, this job may even give you some extra while you do something else on the side. As I have said, I’d want us to get a head start with things as soon as possible. I do have a pile up of work and a number of unattended chores which you can immediately assist me with. I hope we can meet up with the workload eventually.     Recently received an “official looking–final notice” WE’VE BEEN TRYING TO REACH YOU
    Re: IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY to work as Government Insurance Refund Processors. Now at first glance you think hum this is a no-brainer? But more importantly it looks like a duplicated card complete with official form number, and bar code.
    the job details are as follows:
    * Starting at up to 38.9K per year
    * Work from home/Flexible hours/No weekends
    * Processing Gov’t Insurance Refunds to homeowners
    * Duties include: Receiving, Screening, and Processing FHA refund notices
    * No experience necessary
    call 1-866-610-0591 by Nov 7.
    So, I called this and demanded they prove its legit business, afterall I have the right to know. The agent processing my call said he was only the processing agent and couldn’t redirect me to the company website and/or contact information?? hummm…well my question is twofold. Have you heard of this scam and should it be reported? seems likes mail fraud? or…at the very least, if it is scam, using US Govt mail system to defraud people, inquiring minds wanna know.     I’d like to ask if the company Bestmark has come across your radar as a legitimate company. I’ve recently been accepted as one of their ‘secret shoppers’ but have not committed to any agreement to do so. I simply saw their ad on, responded and received the following email response.

    ” Hello Anthony,

    Thank you for expressing your interest in BestMark Mystery Shopping. We have screened your application and would like to invite you to become an active mystery shopper for BestMark.

    You will need to complete three simple steps before you can become an active shopper. Once you’re active, you may search for and request open shops in your area!

    Log in to BestMark
    1. Go to the BestMark Shopper Website
    2. Enter your Shopper ID and password below and click “Login”

    Your Shopper ID is: MN13071
    Your Password is: 6074

    Complete Your Profile Information
    1. Enter your Social Security Number. We need your Social Security Number because the Federal Government requires us to track payments made to mystery shoppers. If you make $600 or more in cash payments in one calendar year, we are required to send you a 1099 to file with your annual tax forms.

    How to Search for Open Shops
    1. From the Shopper Main Menu, select “Search for Open Shops”
    2. Select a mileage radius, enter your zip code and click “Search” and you will see available shops in your area
    3. If you do not see open opportunities, try increasing your search radius

    How to Request a Shop
    1. Cli ck on the “View Details/Request Shop” for the shop you want to request
    2. Read the shop details and select the date you wish to perform the assignment
    3. Click the “Request” button and a request will be submitted to BestMark
    4. If you click “Manage My Shops” from the Shopper Main Menu, you will see your request listed with a status of “Pending Request”

    Once a regional scheduler has reviewed the request, you will receive an email notice indicating whether or not the shop has been assigned to you.

    Reviewing Instructions Once a Shop is Assigned to You
    Once you have been assigned a shop to perform, the shop will show up on your list of assigned shops under the “Manage My Shops” link.

    Note: If the date of your shop is not within 10 days of today, you will not be able to access the instructions yet.
    1. Simply click on the Dispatch Number (Ex. 3387745) in the View Shop Details column of your Current Shops l ist
    2. That will take you the Shop Information page where you can view the:
    · Dispatch Assignment Sheet (your shop instructions)
    · Sample Survey
    · Certification Test – the short quiz you must pass before performing your assignment
    · Survey – the Fill Out Survey link is what you will click when you are ready to fill out your survey

    Be sure to review your instructions several days before your shop so you have time to ask your scheduler any questions you have before you go.

    Filling Out Your Survey
    Once you perform the assignment, you will need to navigate to the Shop Information page (instructions on how to reach this page precede this section)

    1. Click on the “Fill Out Survey” from the Shop Information page
    2. The Dispatch Assignment Sheet (shop instructions) will tell you exactly when your survey is due
    3. You will also need to upload a copy of your receipt when you h ave completed the assignment. There are specific instructions on your Shopper Main Menu under the Announcements section

    Getting Paid for Your Shop
    BestMark sends your payment and / or reimbursement via check in the mail every other Friday following the day your shop is reviewed by a quality editor (this is generally within 2-4 days following your shop). You will receive your check 2-4 weeks from your shop date and you can click Upload Receipts / Shop History on your Shopper Main Menu to view payment activity / history.
